Maintenance
Your tennis court will benefit by adopting a regular maintenance regime. Neglect allows dirt to accumulate and moss & algae to flourish. This causes the deterioration of the colour coating and damages the playing surface, which will eventually disintegrate.
Maintenance Programme
Weekly
- Sweep or blow leaves & detritus from court.
Early Spring and/or Autumn
- Kill moss & algae -Water based chemical treatment should be applied methodically to control growth.
- Moss grows most vigorously on a shaded or damp surface, especially during mild winters or very wet summers. In these situations, treatment is required on a regular basis.
Annually or Biannually
- Thorough and systematic pressure cleaning to remove moss, algae and other detritus.
- This will help restore the grip and drainage of the playing surface.
Every 4 - 6 Years
- Clean and Repaint playing surface.
- Paint has a binding and protective effect on the surface and helps to prolong its life.
